How Do I Cook Boudin?

Cooking boudin links is simple - in fact, it is so simple that we should think of it as heating boudin instead of cooking it. That is because all of the boudin stuffing is already "cooked" here at Bourque's. We have several large pots that are constantly cooking down.

Since we ship nationwide, we often freeze packs of boudin for hungry customers to heat up on their own. The process is simple:

First, you'll want to defrost the pack of boudin in tap water. Once it is defrosted, you'll place the boudin links in a stock pot and (just barely) cover them with water. Next, bring the water to a boil; medium-high to high heat should work. Boil the links for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the links are too hot to grab with your fingers. Turn the heat off, remove the links, and place them on a cutting board. Let them cool for a couple minutes, cut the links up, and enjoy!
